WNS’ recent acquisition of US-based Denali Sourcing Services has been extremely well received by the industry. Analyst firm NelsonHall, in their most recent blog, described this acquisition as well thought through and one that will re-define the Procurement BPS market. With this acquisition, WNS’ existing current capabilities go beyond transaction processing within Procure-to-Pay (P2P) into services that span sourcing through to pay.
‘F&A has been one of WNS’ fastest growing areas recently and now represents over 21 percent of its total revenues, so this is a logical expansion of the portfolio’, says analyst Rachael Stormonth. Apart from its sourcing capabilities, Denali also brings in its spend analytics methodology. Overall, NelsonHall terms this acquisition as a judicious move, which will enable WNS to extend the value chain for its existing F&A clients, in a service where specialist expertise is in short supply, and for which it already has strong client demand.
