We consider compliance to statutory EMS requirements as the minimum performance standard and are committed to go beyond and adopt stricter standards wherever appropriate. This is done with the help of suitable management systems that are aimed at

■    Conservation of natural resources - by efficient use of energy, water and
      effective utilization of waste
■    Using renewable energy sources whenever possible
■    Compliance with legislation and regulations that is relevant to WNS
■    Periodic review of systems and processes aimed at continual improvement and
      prevention of pollution

We encourage sharing of information and communication of our EMS with the stakeholders, including suppliers and society at large.

WNS has undertaken a significant initiative in Green Lean Sigma. To become a carbon neutral company, continual improvement projects have been initiated through Green Lean Sigma. WNS has received ISO 14001:2004 certification for Environmental Management System for our Mumbai locations. This furthers our organization-wide efforts to reduce our carbon footprint even as we expand our operations.
